Android 2.3.3 on Samsung ACE S5830

How to Install S5830XWKPO Android 2.3.3 on Samsung ACE S5830

Prerequisite

• Samsung USB Drivers for S5830
• S5830XWKPO.rar Firmware file
• Odin 4.38 software & OPS for flash
• Charge your phone battery up to a good level
• Take complete backup of all your mobile data

Now follow these steps carefully or refer the attached video -

Phase 1- setting up PC and backup

• Install the Samsung USB drivers
• Unzip the main firmware file & ops file and you will see these five files
  1. APBOOT_S5830XWKPO_CL400247_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5,
  2. CODE_S5830XWKPO_CL400247_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5,
  3. Cooper_v1.0.ops,
  4. GT-S5830-csc-LUXKP1.tar.md5,
  5. MODEM_S5830XWKP7_CL407346_REV03.tar.md5,
• Take Backup of your contacts messages and other data from your phone. Please note that this procedure doesn`t format your internal memory, only messages, contacts and apps will be erased.
• Shut down Samsung Kies completely
• Run Odin 4.38 which you have already installed
• Power off your Samsung ACE and wait till complete switch off

Phase 2 - Upgrading the firmware

• Hold Volume down key + Home button key and press power on to goto download mode
• Connect your phone with USB cable
• You should get the message “Added! !” under the Odin’s message box
• Put the files like this in Odin:
  OPS = Cooper_v1.0.ops,
  Boot = APBOOT_S5830XWKPO_CL400247_REV03_user_low_true.tar .md5
  Phone = MODEM_S5830XWKP7_CL407346_REV03.tar.md5,
  PDA = CODE_S5830XWKPO_CL400247_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5
  CSC = GT-S5830-csc-LUXKP1.tar.md5
• Hit the start button and process will begin, Wait until your phone gets restart and then unplug the cable

You will have S5830XWKPO Android 2.3.3 on your ACE :)
